Saw this thing called a "tank Buoyancy Compensator" on Leisurepro today. It's basically a ditchable tank boot with a built in 5 lb weight. If anyone has one of these, I was wondering how much height it adds to the tank (above and beyond a normal boot).

Actually, my OW instructor was a co-designer of these devices. As far as height hoes, the height difference above that of a normal boot is roughly the width of a standard 10lb gym weight (1.5-2"). They seemed to work pretty well.
