I would not necessarily consider frequency of firmware updates to indicate a positive experience. I don’t know what Shearwater has been updating, but firmware updates are often fixes for glitches, minor or major. Sometimes improvements or modifications of features, too, whether you want the operation of that feature changed or not. There is something to be said for stable software that is not under constant revision.All could be remedied if Suunto did firmware updates on a regular basis. I like my Suunto Eon core but as another subscriber stated I also feel we’ve been left to rot. Shearwater updates their firmware regularly.
