Anyone from MWDC on here?

Hello everyone.... I am thinking of joining another club in the MA area.... can anyone from the MetroWest Dive Club fill me in about that club?

I've heard that it is mostly a club for tech divers and a lot of the dives are deep, wreck dives.... just looking for some info if anyone has some.

I wouldnt say that. There are quite a few recreational divers in the club (I would say thats the majority). www.mwdc.org
They go on a trip to NC every year, and some members do deeper wreck diving and some like cave diving. To each his own. Only do what you are comfortable with and trained for.

There's quite a few members here; and I think you'll find there is plenty of opportunity for recreational diving within the club. They do weekly shore dives on saturday mornings, as well as wednesday evenings. All the organized trips are recreational [NC, NY, and this year Kingston ON]. All the boat dives scheduled are recreational. There is a few serious divers in the mix, but they do their own diving outside of the club.

But of course don't take my word for it... come in and sit in on a couple of meetings. Details and directions are on the website, and meetings are open for anyone to come check out. it's second and fourth tuesdays of the month, at the Crowne Plaza in Natick. meetings start at 7:30, and people generally start showing up in the ranges of 6:00-7:30 at the bar.
