anyone ever dive "Marine Room" in La Jolla, CA?

i'm going there next week and would like some insight into the dive... i've found what i could, but doesn't cover the dive, itself.

water temp?

just do one dive, to see it, or two... i'll only be able to dive for one day...

i've never done a beach entry, but again, from what i've found there is very little surge. just walk in and swim to...

Many times. Parking is a bit of a challenge, just find a spot on the street and your good. It's just a few hundred yards south of the Los Velocitos entry at La Jolla Shores. If you swim towards the cove it won't get much deeper than 20 to 30 feet (closer to 20) If you head a little more to the right you will enter the southern end of La Jolla Canyon, (can get real deep). Temp is about 60 on the surface this time of year, but it can get as cold as 50. The entry is pretty strait forward. Your best bet is to contact someone on the www.divebums.com list and see if you can't join up with someone that is going out that way.

I prefer to dive that side of the cove myself, but its a looonnnggg swim out of the Marine Room to get to either the cove or the La Jolla Shores walls. My best advice, go at the peak of low tide. If you need more information on San Diego diving divebums is a great resources or you can PM me.
