I use the Nauticam ports specific for each lens.
The port of the 14-42mm lens is the flat port 35, very short and it is possible to attach the Inon UWL-H100 without any vignetting .
With this combo I find the pictures quite enough sharp....
I don't see particular blurring or vignetting in the corner of the pictures made with the dome for the 9-18mm.....
But I am not so technical like you :)

I use the Nauticam 4,33" dome port for the 8mm Panasonic Fisheye lens.
I use the Nauticam 4" wide angle port for the 9-18mm Olympus.
I use the Nauticam macro port 35 for the 14-42mm Panasonic.
I noticed that some pictures made with the 9-18mm have the corners soft when the aperture is around F 5,6 , but when the aperture is around F8 or more the corners are sharp..... perhaps it depends by the aperture ??

Yes as the dome is somewhat small for a rectilinear zoom lens you need to shoot at f/8 and smaller probably. But this so means you can't really shoot video with that lens as the ISO will need to be high.

Hey all - I just bought the Nauticam GX7 housing and like it generally (haven't taken it underwater yet).

One thing i dislike, however, is the mode dial coupling with rubber. I had to push down pretty hard to reliably turn the mode dial, and as such it's hard to go several modes in one pass (e.g. from A to C1). Do other users have similar issues? Or mine is somewhat defective?

Thanks!

There are at times issues with the internal gear. If you think it is not gripping talk to your dealer and you can get set a selection of different sizes so you can change and improve matters

Im considering a GX7 for primarily video, but with ability to take stills. Whilst the GH4 is the camera of the moment, I'm not sure I'm going to get all the benefits for the extra bucks, so the GX7 seems the next best thing.

I was also looking at the oly 12-50 lens due to its Macro switch. Enabling me to shoot wide angle, but have the chance to get normal macro on the same dive. Is it worth going down that route, especially with the Nauticam port being $800 for this lens.
Would i be better with another lens and using the Nauticam wet lens for close ups

Also the GX7 doesn't have in body stabisation in video mode, so will this be a worst of both brands?

Very nice. Thanks for posting.
*Did you shoot ay video?

No, sorry DSR-3, this time I was focused on pictures.
If you want to see a video made with the Gx7 , at page 4 of this thread, post #31, you can see a video made to mantas at the Maldives.
