My wife and I can now both take Friday off, and she still hasn't been out in her new drysuit. Has anyone dived Casino Point this week? With all the rain we've been having, anyone know how the visibility has been? I figure if anyplace easy is going to be clear, it's Casino Point. Water here by shore is way too churned up to bother getting wet

Haven't been in this week or heard any reports yet. If I hear something today, I'll try to post.

The Sundiver was out yesterday and said the viz was spectacular. They could see the bottom at Starlight. Subject to change of course. I know that is not the dive park, but should be a good indication of how the water is.

There are some big swells expected this wekend.

Wow Merxlin, surprised at the vis with all the rain! Thanks for the report.

Heard vis yesterday at Vet's (before the rains last night) was a stunning 30'.

We have a charter scheduled for Saturday. Hoping the weather holds out and we can get out (even if the visibility isn't great).

Another good rain last night with one forecast for this evening as well. I'm still hoping to dive this weekend.

Since the idea was to get my wife into her new drysuit, getting suited up and staying dry is a key consideration. So I bagged today due to all the rain forecast and rescheduled for 2 weeks from now. I heard from someone the viz was excellent, despite the rain, though the ride over was a bit rough, but no point in making the Mrs. unhappy, and therefore me too. My LDS rescheduled today's drysuit class for two weeks, so I still get to dive Casino Point soon

I hope the vis holds for you. The park is a great place to workout new gear issues.

A few of us are headed to Farnsworth tomorrow, I hope we get to dive it.

FWIW, I dove the park Sat. Viz was good. 40' or so. It was a cold cloudy day at casino point and I am so glad I switched to a dry suit recently.
