The swell models look good for tomorrow. Anybody interested in going diving, say Fisk Mill or Gerstle?

I might be up for a dive, if the water isn't below 48 degrees I might go in just my swimsuit and leave the drysuit in the car. I don't have a tank at the moment so will have to rent one or if you have an extra that would be cool. Diving sure does beat cutting line at the top of a ridge in 100 degree weather :-) . Hope you didn't get poison oak too bad. I took a couple of pictures but can't seem to upload them here.

Nope, just got my nomex really dirty. The whole time we were cutting out that LZ I was thinking about the cool Pacific Ocean. I definitely need to go diving.

I ended up with a little poison oak, nothing a little technu couldn't fix. Washed my gear, hopefully the poison oak oil is gone, I'm sure it is from running the chainsaw in and through the brush and poison oak. I'll give you a call in the morning, hope some other people can make a dive or two.

Had a great dive yesterday, at Fisk Mill a place that doesn't get many divers. Vis was about 25 feet, lots of sea life with the surge kind of picking up at the end of the dive. water temp was 54. If you decide to dive there, watch out for the right hand rail on the way down the wooden stairs, it is about ready to fall apart.

But it sure was great exercise!

I may be up for a dive next week. I am in SF but I can drive somewhere if it isnt too far...

I am free all next week. So it's just a matter of the ocean cooperating.

I noticed you don't have anything listed in your profile. Could you fill me in on your experience level?

How far do you think the hike is from the car to the beach? I'm guessing 1/4 to 1/3 of a mile.
Were those the protesters on the loudspeaker near your fire department?

I would say 1/4 mile. Yeah, that was them. They chanted until about 7 or 8 pm.
