Anybody seen any whales?

I heard they arrived late, but I haven't seen any from my room. Usually, I can see spouts out there. Are you all seeing them breach out on the dive boats? Anybody hearing them much? I like to go up Makapu'u to the light house this time of year and look out at the whales from the top. We should plan a full moon "holiday hike" and take some little flasks!
Too much time on my hands! This is the first Christmas ever that I don't have my children. They are going skiing with their father and since there are NO CHRISTMAS TREES left on this island, I have a little too much time.

We saw some on our recent trip to Maui... from a lookout south of Lahaina, and from the dive boat enroute to Lanai. Saw spout and their backs out of the water like your first photo... no breaching though. I'm sure you'll start seeing more soon

this is Catherine96821:Wildcard, Kathy, Well, Ke Akua Kalikimaka blessed me today and someone that works for Matson gave me the most beautiful Noble Fir. He said it was for an employee raffle but they all forgot to enter! I am set...but can I think of something else from Alaska?....how bout an antique sled with a team of dogs or a winter white down parka with faux fox trim hood? Thanks! NO MXAS TREES??? Guess we waited to long. We wanted to get one after we got back from Maui (this last Sunday night). Suppose we will have to buy a small fake one to toss out (just don't have the room to store one). We, as in Vince, Brittney and myself, are actually going to Makapu'u tomorrow morning to see if we can spot some whales. I still haven't went diving out there. That would be awesome to see them though. Go ahead and brag about your encounter with the humpbacks (while on the ascent line- I think). Just not fair . I am super jealous!!!

Thanks Debbie, I just got into it the last couple years. I am technically challenged so its been a bit of a struggle. (like the first time I tried to shoot in Cozumel but did not know how the camera turned on..) It is so fun. When do you go to Maui?

We will meet you maybe. Maybe I could take your family Christmas picture up there and you could take ours. We walked Kailua beach last night because I gained ten pounds and so I could use two hikes!

We are going around 8am. Nice picture. We went to Maui last weekend. I now understand the T-shirt " I survived the road to Hana". Very pretty drive.
