Anybody notice in the movie "National Treasure: Book of Secrets" that's currently out in theaters that Nicolas Cage's character used a rebreather as he was trying to enter Mount Vernon via the river? Thought that was a puzzling choice of gear for the scene (why just not everyone's diving tool of choice, the ever popular - snorkel??). Especially since he apparently was only going a hundred feet to the shore at best, at a depth of probably no more than 15 feet.
In retrospect though, considering what he was going to Mount Vernon to do, he was trying to avoid detection at all costs and therefore did not want to create any bubbles while performing his swim, hence the use of the CCR. Interesting, nonetheless.
I did note that he was not wearing the YBOD though. ;-)
