I just got a SeaQuest Black Diamond and when i'm diving heavy it tends to ride up (as most weight integrated BC's do at some point). The BD comes with crotch strap attachments and i'm sure my LDS would be MORE than willing to sell me some, but If I can make some for a few bucks, all the more money to spend on gas for the boat or diesel for the truck.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Windknot :

Depending on what type of attachments you have on your BC, there are many places you can material to make your own straps. You can go to a sporting goods or camping / mountain climbing store like Eastern Mountain Sports and purchase a variety of nylon straps and plastic quick release type buckles to configure your straps.

What do you mean, when your DIVING HEAVY ?? Are you diving over weighted. That’s not good. Remember getting to the bottom is only half the dive, you gotta be able to come back up in one piece. Dive Safe……………………Arduous

Dont use the BC as a Liftbag. Itegrated BC s do not ride up as much as non integrated BC s because the lead is in the BC. If it does ride up, you have thomething wrong whith your weights. If for example you dive just a 15 l tank no extras you will need mor weights tha diving with one or two decotanks slung to your side. Try your dive configuration in a pool first note the weights you use for every configuration and your bc will not ride up. If you have anithig to lift use a liftbag.

Dive safe

"Diving Heavy"

When using a 7mm Farmer john I use more weight than when I dive w/3mm shorty. I call it diving heavy and diving light.

Please excuse the faux pas.

(Typically i'm a little underweight actually, but still working on getting it "Just right")

Thanks for the concern and the suggestions

Perfect.

Reason I asked is because if in fact you did own a Ford, there's an *excellent* site that if you don't know about you should immediately jump to and check out:

http://www.ford-diesel.com/

The forums section, which I think uses the same software as this board, is phenomenal. My wife has a 2000 F250 Power Stroke Supercab LB and used ford-diesel.com to research buying, modifying and maintaining her truck and the advice we've gotten from the board is nothing short of amazing.

Ok divers, sorry about the short change of topic!

Ps. I’m seriously out-trucked since I only have a F150 gasser, my next truck will be similar to yours, a F350 diesel CC SB, what I consider the ultimate dive vehicle!
