Hi all,
sorry to bother you but I have a big problem: as I mentioned earlier in some postings, my boyfriend and I booked a Burma liveaboard from November 2nd to 9th '03. Due to the economic situation (last year's Bali bombing, SARS...), some people cancelled and at the moment, we are the only bookings which would mean that this "once of a lifetime experience" will be cancelled if there will be no other bookings within the next few days! :(

Therefore, the ship's owner have set the trip on promotion, it is now only USD 1.040,- instead of originally USD 1.600 (we had to pay...). Further info: click here or send me a PM (was on the boat twice already).

If you are not interested yourselves, I would be very grateful if you could forward this info to your diving buddies or your diving clubs. Maybe there are some very flexible people around who would be able to join us to secure this trip...

Thanks a lot,
Gabyne

Wow, $1600 for a 7 days trip to Burma. That is pretty expensive, in comparison to other operations. Of course the discounted rate at $1000 would be something that I would expect, given the boat. Wish I could go as I am looking for a dive trip right now for November but I won't be able to go until after November 10th.
Hope your trip will go on as plan but if in case it is cancelled, you might want to look at some alternatives such as
www.panunee.com or www.divemaster.net
From what I can see, both boats are actually cheaper as their trips run around $1000-$1200 and the boats look much more comfortable. I have been on Panunee in the past and like it very much. Their staffs are also excellent.

Good luck.

Hi again,

thank you for your wishes and the links. Unfortunately, Panunee and Dive Master have their earliest Burma trip beginning of December... :(

Since I have a fixed schedule, I'm bound to 2nd to 9th November...

Panunee really looks very nice.
