Swell model looks crummy still, but I heard that Santa Ana winds are coming.

Haven't seen a swell model like this in a while...
Anyway, they're saying surf should be big thru tomorrow, then dropping over the weekend. But the weather's gorgeous, and I'll probably be at the beach anyway. Maybe if I run into Phil I can get some more scoop for my trip to Ft. Lauderdale next week

I surfed Upper Trestles this morning. It was chest-head high with some occasional overhead sets ... nice long fun lines ... great conditions (might have to sneak in an afternoon session). This ground swell is coming in from almost straight W so some decent amount of energy will slip through for the next 24 hrs before backing down.
The high pressure system that's been giving this nice offshore flow (and great weather) looks like it might hold for a couple more days.
Actually, the latest Laguna Sea Sports report doesn't look too bad ... benefiting from some shadowing by the Island.

Albeit, Catalina might be the safest bet this weekend.

I would go with you Andy, but, I am moving this weekend. YUK!!! I even called off going to the Sandeaters dive. I will see everyone next weekend at La Jolla!

OK, I talked myself into it. Let's give it a try tomorrow. I will get my tanks filled after work today (I'll bring 2 tanks, just in case the vis is great ). What time do you want to meet up and where? I'm thinking we can try North Crescent by the stairs or Shaw's Cove. Let me know.

Well, I have two full tanks and gear in my car ready to try my luck in Laguna. I haven't heard back from WTH.
Anyone want to give Laguna a shot tomorrow morning?:huh: It's going on three weeks and I want to get wet.
