With the record setting temps and off shore winds, the diving I would think is fantastic in Monterey. Any reports? Feel like playing hooky, got 2 full tanks in the garage just busting at the seams to pass some gas.

I wouldn't say fantastic. Far from it, as big swells have dominated the last few weekends. This coming weekend is looking pretty good though. And hooky? Didn't you just get back from Cabo or something?

Well... ya, but that's warm water diving. It don't count for us cold water Monterey divers.

I may hit up Pt. Lobos on thursday morning. On thursdays, I start work at 1pm, the rest of the week, it would have to be a hooky dive. PM if you're interested.

Boy, Cabo wasn't warm when I was there in late March. Water temp was 62 on the surface and 58 on the bottom. Good thing I brought the usual 7mm and hooded vest.
