I was there 2 weeks ago. Took classes to Casino Point. Visibility varied from 15 fsw - 30+ fsw. Water was in the mid 60's.
Going back tomorrow morning. PM me Monday and I'll be happy to give you another update. Or you could ask Dr. Bill. He lives in Avalon.

Vis has been between 20 and 50 ft the past week or so, a bit variable. Water temps in mid 60's (although someone had 70 F at the verfy surface last weekend... may have been Suunto degrees though). Pretty calm at the surface but some surge below. I'll be diving this weekend so I'll try to update this.

Dr. Bill, if you dive on Saturday, I would appreciate it if you could post conditions. My dive buddy and I are heading to Casino Point Sunday for some diving. Hope to see you Sunday.

Dive safe,
Phil

Conditions today from a local instructor were reported at 40 ft vis but with a fair bit of particulates.

We will be diving the park Saturday and will post the conditions.;)

Dave,
I hope you have great conditions on Saturday and I hope they last for Sunday as well. And thank you for giving the condition report.

Phil

Mid-60s temperature at depth? I guess that's possible because Casino Point tends to be fairly warm. I was out at Anacapa less than two weeks ago and temp was already 60ft at depth.

Yep, mid 60's at moderate depth. Heck a few summers ago it was in the upper 60's at the recreational depth limit!
