Call me greedy, but this summer I was hoping to combine my two favourite outdoor activities... Motorcycles and SCUBA diving. What I'm looking for is someone interested in a little side project. I need to mount some sort of trailer hitch to my bike so I can tow a uni-trailer to carry my dive equipment. I've only found one shop over in Hull that will do the job but they are very expensive (and considering the uni-trailers start at about $1200cdn I'd like to save some money where I can). Has anyone done this sort of thing before? I know that cruisers are pretty easy to modify for a trailer but the challenge here is a 2001 Katana 750. I chatted with my mechanic and he says the bike will handle a trailer no problem, just might be difficult finding someone to mount the hitch.
Anyhoo, any input would be greatly appreciated :-)

Cheers

But I would look for a bolt on solution. If nothing else to preserve the resale value of the bike.

Forgot to mention that. I'm not looking to weld it to the frame lol. I would need the hitch custom made to fit.

Hey Shawn, I know a guy who does quality work. Owns and operates a full CNC machine and does custom welding. Call me and I'll dig up a number.
