I need to find some diving buddies. I live in Chicago and would like to go diving regularly at Haigh or Pearl Lake. I will be studying to be an instuctor but I need many more logged dives before I do. Please reply via email or just call me on my cell 312-498-3716 and let me know if you are interesting in diving anytime soon.

Sorry to hijack the tread. I assume you are trying to get to 100 dives. Why the rush to become an instructor? Believe it or not, 100 dives isn't that many dives. Try shooting for 100 hours of bottom time instead. Why not slow down, enjoy the sport and become a great diver first? Then, once you become an instructor, it will be much more rewarding watching your students excel faster than the "assembly line" instructors because your students learned from someone who actually dives.

Jim, I will be getting in touch with you about this weekend. Just figuring out a day.

I think Duane speaks with much wisdom. I would be interested in finding out about your instructor decision. Seems you are looking for a career change.

I have never been in any particular hurry to take my next step in diving. But then again, I am a slow learner and need practice to absorb it all.
