Im a rather new diver looking to explore the new england waters. I live in Northern CT and have a boat out of Mystic, CT - about 45 mins away from Block Island 25 min to Rhode Island. I am very new to diving this area and would like some insight if its worth any kind of spearfishing and or diving for lobsters. Thanks for any advice....and yes i wish i lived in Florida sometimes:cool2:

Its been a few years, but I remember seeing quite a few divers entering from the shore of Jamestown RI for lobster. They must have been successful because every weekend there were divers. I never had the chance to go myself. I also hope to get back there sometime and go after lobster. It would be realy great if there was good spearfishing as well. But again I have not been and I havn't researched enough to know what spearos go after there. I hope you get a chance to get out there and wis you all thesuccess.
