I'm a Fish!
I love to swim laps. And I just found an indoor place to do it..until it warms up and I can swim in my own pool.
Trouble is I had a lycra bathing cap that wore out by the end of the summer.
Now I can't find a new one anywhere.
I looked on google and came up with one company..and they are out of the black ones.
Grrrrrrrrr
Can anyone help me?

Wow! You're awsome. Looks like they have the black too. I owe you one!
Going to order it now. Do you swim laps too?

You can find lycra swim caps on many different sites - I was just recently looking for a comparison between the silicone caps and lycra caps - and up popped all these websites - some selling the caps as low as $6.99! I've always bought my swim caps at the Sports Authority store here, but they'll charge you at least $10 - I guess I have to figure out the shipping if I want to buy them online.

I swim laps pretty much year round, though I do have to admit when winter comes, it's a lot less. One thing about Hawaii - very few pools are heated and even less are indoors - so I guess while my statement that it gets "cold" at wintertime can't compare to the rest of you :) - it is a bit cold for me without a wetsuit jacket or something (since the majority of my swimming is in the evening after work).

But it's warming up - I'm about ready to start back to my 5 times a week schedule - up until now it's been mainly on the weekends, when the sun is out. I love to swim - besides diving, there's nothing I love better than swimming back and forth on a sunny day.

Thanks Big T. I ordered one from the link Mare gave me and it came yesterday!

Hi,

I know this is a little late… but I use a 3 mil beanie when I do laps… along with a swim mask… not goggles. It reminds me a bit of diving… also the beanie gives a bit of thermal protection… I’m usually in the water for about 30-40 minutes doing my laps.

Swimming is great prep for diving… breathing, heart rate, a sense of comfort and calm.
