Tucker has HINTED of retribution when they play again. Wish he still played for the Habs. The guy plays with a lot of heart.
In regards to an earlier post about players doing charitable things, this was posted today on a Habs website:

It's one of those good news stories on what has otherwise been an crazy-but-normal day for hockey in Montreal. Team captain Saku Koivu announced today that his foundation is committed to raising $750,000 in support of Cancer & Trauma initiatives at The Montreal General Hospital. Two years ago, the Saku Koivu Foundation helped raise $2.5 million to acquire the first PET/CT in Montreal, located at the General.

Wish this sort of stuff was reported more widely and more often, rather than all the negatives

Went to the Senators vs Penguins game tonight. It was supposed to be a preview of the playoffs. Senators blew a three goal lead heading into the third period and lost in a shootout. I am depressed. This looked just like the playoffs last year.

At least the beer was cold.

Is Saku Koivu still in remission? Here's hoping he is...

He went to the doctors a month or so ago for testing, and was diagnosed as "cancer-free".

I was emailed these pictures today, and thought I'd share with other hockey fans. I think it's the coolest thing I've seen in awhile.....I need these guys as my neighbors, but they'd have to change the logo at center ice :D

That is awesome!!!! Looks like it was a collaborative effort as it stretches into two yards.

Anyone else having a problem saying "Kansas City Penguins"?

I just can't utter the words smoothly. Maybe I need more practice.
Gary Betteman is meeting with Mario and the Penguins...probably to schedule the moving vans.
I doubt they go to KC. Even the guy in KC who made the offer recently stated he doubted they'd move to such a small market. Wouldn't surprise me to see them contact Ballsillie and revisit moving to Hamilton again, or look at Vegas or Portland. Personally, I'd love to see them stay in Pittsburgh, but it seems Mario is finally pissed off enough after years of them pulling his chain, that's he's resigned to moving. If they have to move, I'd love to see the the Whalers franchise resurrected. I used to love driving down to watch games in Hartford.
