As my trip to Key Largo grows ever near, I've been wanting to know if there is any good night-diving down there. I will be doing a doubles dive on the Spiegel Grove, then after a few hours diving molasses on a single tank- after I off-gas for a few hours on both days I'd like to hit a reef or two at night. Can someone tell me what the best night diving spots are in Key Largo, and with whom to book? I'll be staying at Ocean Pointe condos so if there are any good shore diving sites at night close to there that would be very cool.

While I'm still on the subject, is there any good snorkeling near the beach in Key Largo, for the days where I just need to kill time when I'm not diving? A good drive is something I would prefer to avoid to get there, but if it's close I can work with that

Thanks! :)

Also, I'm probably going to be booking with Horizon Divers for most of my day dives

Check with Horizon Divers when you're there, they also do night dives. I dove on the Benwood with them last year. I liked the day time dives on the Benwood but the night dive was fantastic.

I'm not sure about beaches, I was too tired after 4 or 5 dives a day to do any snorkeling.

Benwood is a great night dive. Most of the shallow reefs are also great for night dives. Like Pedro said, check with Horizon. There are some good shallow grass beds on the bay side that produce some interesting finds. You can see sawfish on the bay side. Most sites are private access behind hotels, and you have to be careful of boat traffic.

I would start calling around. We recently got back and managed to get a night dive in on one of the shallow reefs. It was great. I called a couple of ops a few weeks before arriving and had them put night dives on their schedules. Due to diver minimums I was hoping that one would attract the interest of a couple more divers. We ultimately did our night dive with conch republic.

You can checkout Key Largo Dive Center, Horizon Divers, and Conch Republic Divers online dive schedule by using Scubaocity's Real Time Dive Schedules. for the dates you have in mind....or you can call each shop too.

Good Diving,

That page doesn't work. I enter the start and end date, the shop, click the button and I get nothing.

If the dive shop or organization doesn't have any dives listed for the days you put in then you will not get any results back. Which shop were you searching and what dates were you searching for?

Good Diving,

Horizon Divers, July 7th thru 14th

Are you sure you put July and not June in? If you pick past dates you will not get anything either. Just tried July 7th thru 14th and got their dive schedule. I pasted the direct link for that search above.

If your still having problems please don't hesitate to contact me at the number below. We're trying to make it easier for divers to search, find, and book a dive at their favorite dive shop.
