Any good diving text books?

The NOAA book is the bible of diving

I feel the same about that book. I've never seen a book so complete about diving.

For the OP, my highest recommendation is The Certified Diver's Handbook by Clay Coleman. Very good overview of all the issues for the less-experienced diver.

I liked it much more than Graver's book.

"Beginning with the End in Mind" published by GUE is an awesome book covering all the basic and some not so basic stuff. I've only seen it in electronic format though.
