I was just wandering if their is any good diving in the Daytona Beach area? We are planning a family vacation for that area. What are the water temps., is visibility ever any good? Does Daytona even have a dive store?

Well how about St. Augustine? What do the locals go when they feel the need for a dive?

Sea Dog Divers of nearby New Smyrna Beach has a boat and offers weck dives. You'll have to call the shop for the latest report. It is usually warm enough in the Summer to allow for a 3mm suit, although not a "tropical" dive.

You can hook up with another diver and dive Blue Springs State Park, about 20 miles away. Blue springs is usually clear and always 72 degrees. A buddy is mandatory.

No beach diving at Daytona. The water stays fairly shallow for a long way out to sea. There is little to see.

Have a fun trip.
