I'll be in Tianjin for a business trip and was wondering if anyone knew of any diving near there? I'll be there for 10 days and would love to see some of China's ocean life.

Thanks in advance!

Tianjin is a heavy industrial city. If you like to see giant freighters over your head, and maybe even 3 eye fishes, then give it a shot.

I lived in Tianjin in '03 and '04, the only diving is in the aquariums of Beijing, about a 2 hour train ride away from downtown Tianjin. Diving is still very undeveloped in China, though a few people are trying. There's a bit of critical mass in Shanghai and a bit in Beijing, but I've never actually seen any water in China I would consider jumping in.
