Hello,

I was wondering if there are any dive ops that are doing two tank Kittiwake dives and if so what's the cost? I am staying at Sunset House and they currently do a one tank pm dive unless that has changed.

Thank you in advance for any help with this.

Mike

The Official Website for the Kittiwake Shipwreck - SAFETY

6- Time Limit on Mooring Buoys

a. The maximum time that a Vessel is permitted to stay on a mooring is 1.5 hours. Maximum time is from tie up to departure.

So, if anyone does a two tank on the Kittiwake, they are going to be quick dips. There are ops that do two tank trips with on at the Kittiwake and the second at a reef in the area.

Thanks got the info. What ops do two tanks and is the reef a long swim from the Kittiwake?

Wellllllllll there is a way to do two tanks on the Kittiwake,if the dive op moves to the dive site "Sand Chutes" after the Kittiwake it is a short swim back to the wreck....shhhhhhhhhhh

A positive take on the effects of Hurricane Rina on the Kittiwake. She was originally further away from the Sand Chutes than she is now.

Ive done that profile. One tank moored at the Kittiwake and then a second dive moored at Sandchute. Those who want to can take the short swim over to the wreck and those who don't can dive at the edge of the wall. Would probable make more sense to do this the other way around so that the wall dive is the option for the first tank.
