Cost of diving with dive centres is exorbitant, especially for shore dives which are low quality and are easy to do DIY. Diving the Zenobia is somewhat more rewarding, but expensive; there are workarounds. Also, I'm too long in the tooth for follow-the-leader style holiday diving and all the associated ********.

Did you find any good contacts in Cyprus? I agree re ‘holiday style diving’. I want to go there in the summer and im hoping I’ll able to pick up some tanks to put in the hire car and chose when/where I dive if thats possible out there..

Viking Divers on the Dhekelia Road will rent you a tank for a reasonable price. Green Bay and Chapel Rock are relatively easy to find dive sites. Diving in Cyprus is not challenging.

Very random, but there's a guy (Andreas) working out the fishing marina in Larnaca who will take you to the Zenobia on his boat. I used him many years ago, but not last time. Heard he's still going. Just a taxi service, don't expect anything else. Hopefully, he won't leave you behind in the water.

No dive centre I approached was going to allow solo diving. I think it is against the law over there and no dive centre wants to be seen in contravention for obvious reasons.

What is a reasonable price for the Zenobia?
