Any comments on OMS BP & Wing.....

A lot was mentioned on Halcyon, DiveRite and Oxycheq...... Any comments on the OMS 35 lbs Wing & Aluminium Backplate system.

Its wing's outer shell uses 1000 denier Cordura backed with 8.0 oz of Urethane, inside is a urethane bladder.

1. Is it much stronger than the other brands, in terms of materials and quality, any feedbacks?


2. Does anyone know the price for a setup that incudes: OMS 35 lbs Wing + Alu BP with Harness + 2 pcs of Cam Bands?

All BP/W systems are about the same now. OMS has great customer service, you can call them direct, but they sell through shops. OMS and DiveRite are less expensive than the other two. BUT, OMS is more of a regional company (USA), I wouldn't have any idea what you can get, and at what cost, in Singapore. You can call these people:

If you don't have the authorized dealer in your country, it doesn't matter if you buy the gear from the dealer or not in US. Try LeisurePro to get the price range. I am not sure ScubaToy carries OMS though. And, be wise when you shop! If they know that you are a foreign buyer not in US, some dealers try to rip off in many ways (shipping charge also). Oh~yeah, there are many stories in this board. People is the same everywhere, good or bad.

I had found a dealer here, i just bought an Alu BP form him @ S$125 (esti.US$80)

But still considering which wing to match with..........
