We dove the middle reef at Point Lobos today, and in a cave that my wife found, one that cut clear under a big rock shelf about 20 feet across, we found a huge vermillion rockfish, swimming back and forth with this guy. This California sheephead was well over 2 feet long and fascinating to watch. Getting a picture of her was difficult because of being back in the cave, but Kathy managed to get this one:
