I heard rumors of a new schooner found off south point late last summer but the details were sketchy but I do believe the sanctuary knew about this one.

Dave Trotter found another schooner upright, both lower masts intact as well as doghouse and cargo hatches. The 135’ Marion Egan reportedly sunk in the vicinity of the Gilbert which would make her a 200+ foot dive. I would expect Dave to feature her video at the Shipwreck Festival in March.

This makes my count 73 of the known shipwrecks from Harrisville to Rogers City.

I, most likely, will be manning the Thunder Bay Underwater Preserve booth at the Shipwreck Festival as well so I will be looking to buy one of Dave's DVD's. It's hell when you have to actually work at these things. It's going to be a long wait then two shows to go to in March.

Dave usually likes to put a show on with some sizzle and from the looks of it this one has sizzle, and is a new find. Seahorses have not announce anything except that he is a presenter.

No, it looks like its on there. His new wreck/presentation is called "Silent Waters; Deadly Waters". He is giving this presentation at Our World Underwater as well (Well, he is probably giving it at every event this year!).

If you haven't seen it yet, there is a video on YouTube.
