More pool training of course... :D

This time: How do you deal with fishnets should you become entangled while diving.

Wow. Thats a really good idea!

Here's the link to the organising LDS: nettraining

Here's the Babelfish translation:
Nettraining

dive school Get law can organise nettraining on appointment for your dive association on your own (swimming pool) location.

Nettraining are a avondvullend programme for your dive association and leuke and useful activity for the cold winter months. It helps plungers
their skills to develop at solving problems water.
  • Two dive instructors of Get experience law "cultivate" your swimming pool to a type obstacle job for plungers.
  • Staande partition it is turned off there in the deepest part; by here achterlangs swimming can you verstrikt touch; you frequently your setje from must draw separately to come with all problems of will serve.
  • On the floor a large lying net comes; here you can swim under and this way also verstrikt to touch. Taking off your setje is then something easier, but you have less movement freedom.
  • In an angle of the swimming pool a bow net comes hang where you can swim entirely in; and to meet again there then but heelhuids to end up!
  • Finally there still a floating net lies where you can roll yourself or your buddy in and it can make himself this way difficult such as you want.
  • If that is all not yet spectacular enough we take along also a number of blended masks and can you all these exercises once more "blindly" practise.
  • For alternation we put down small scheepsschroeven still two on the floor where in verstrikt has touched exactly. With blindmasker you practise which from to pick there, can. Yachts which lie with their small boat in a port (no visibility) will be your grateful if you master that skill.
  • All these exercises are in advance gone by a short briefing in which text and explanation are given and in which security aspects are taken into consideration
During the exercise our own instructors ensure the security, but are it especially its own buddy's where you must trust.

Everyone gets the occasion its dive skills such as mask exchanges, setje and attracts, automat zoeken, etc. to practise once more thoroughly.

After result is a short debriefing and receives every participant logboekblaadje there. Also there a reader is available with useful information on nets, messen and personal experiences of plungers.

Who can do?

Every plunger with a valid brevet and a good health. Much experience is not necessary, but it is judicious inexpert couple a plunger with an experienced plunger. Everyone can it this way make stretching if he or she himself wants, as long as the security does not come in the lawsuit.
There maximum 14 buddyparen can participate (if the swimming pool is small less)

What is there necessary?

A swimming pool of normal dimensions and a minus depth of 2 meters and every participant an own dive equipment (messen have not been permitted). We have the swimming pool minus? hour in use (improve 1.5 hour is). Get law ensure all nets, bow nets and blindbrillen.

What costs it?

The costs amount to. 240, - for the training, here come then still what travel expenses how much is of course dependent on the distance.

There an appointment can be made at every random moment; preferably on an evening, but also in the weekend there sometimes possibilities are.

An additional exercise would be trying to make sense of this translation... :D

On that last picture, you better check the seals on that prop now........would hate to eventually lubricate that lower unit with a little sea water, better than nothing but not good for the 'power' part of your rig.....

More pool training of course... :D

This time: How do you deal with fishnets should you become entangled while diving.

Just so you know, getting entangled in fishnets is totally different, and not nearly as bad as getting entangled in fish nets.

Though I would wonder what, exactly, your dive buddy is doing wearing fishnets. :D

Another part of the training dealt with how to optimise your gear to avoid entanglements: Keep your gear as streamlined as possible, DIN is preferable over INT. Make sure you carry the right knife for your needs, a line cutter is better than a regular dive knife.
