Hi everyone
just thought Id introduce myself, Im a "Newbie" and am hooked on the sport.... My wife got me the lessons for my B-Day in march, and Ive been diving as much as I can ever since. I live in Vernon BC and have only dove in Okanagan Lake (there is a Dive park 25 min from my house), I cant wait to get to the Ocean for some different diving.

anwyays, talk to you later

K, You lucky dog, you. (May I call you K?)

I've heard great things about the straits and the islets between the mainland and Vancouver Island. Am trying to plan a dive trip up there myself.

Have a great time, stay warm, welcome to ScubaBoard!

hey there and welcome to Scuba Board!
I was in british columbia and a really liked it! especially the Buchart Gardens, talk about beautiful! well i wouldnt know much about diving in your area, except dont get chopped up by the cruise boats around there!!! make sure to drop a post in the Canuck Divers forum and let them know where you are!

nice to have you aboard.

Zack

Hey Thanks
actually, the cruise boats are not all that bad where I dive, its more the Ogopogo that I have to watch out for (Mythical creature that lives in Okanagon Lake, Kinda like the Loch Ness Monster!!!) Im about 3.5hrs from Vancouver.....

but so far its been all good here, its really nice area to learn to dive and the water has been warm, and the diving is fun. at the dive park there is a old speedboat, a old tug boat that was sunk, a sail boat and a old truck cab.... as well as a bunch of other stuff.

anyways cya later
