Hi there Ken,
Welcome to the board and to our wonderful sport. How lucky can you get... what a nice b'day present from your wife. Now it is your turn to get her involved as well. Drop a post on the Canuck Divers and make lots of new friends. Once you get to go to all the great dive sites around the straits you'll be even more hooked :)

Hello from Matt,

Welcome to SB! :scatter: I came here to look for help with my scuba diving dream and the response has been fantastic. So, I know you will enjoy being a member here.
There are a lot of nice and informative scuba divers. It's a good place to meet other divers and share experiences and dreams. Take care from Matt. :scubadive

Thanks Everyone
Have to agree, its a great sport and I sure have enjoyed it, (Glad my wife got me the lessons) Ive managed to collect most of my equipment (on a tight budget) and just picked up a BC this weekend.
Ive joined our local Dive Club here and have meet some great people.

We also have a big dive event happening on Oct 30th, called the pumkin dive (we get to carve pumkins underwater) and there is a dance that evening. so Im really looking forward to it.

(the Dive is open to everyone so if you think you might be interested let me know and I can pass on some contact info)

thanks everyone for the great response and welcomes....
