What kind of lights are you using and what kind of mounting rig?

Brian

They are Weefine Solar Flare 5000 lumens. I mount them on the Sea & Sea DX6G short arm bracket, as shown below.

Most recently, 10 days ago, I shot a video in a green water lake with about 6’ visibility. That 10,000 lumen lights reduced the greenish water color to some what more reasonable bluish color, as shown below.

Based on those pictures, I think all you need is some basic color correction in post.

Lights will create different problems for you to chase.

In this instance where there is plenty of ambient light but it's too blue, another reasonable option is to use an orange filter. This will actually force the sensor to take in more (non blue) light and should get you better color than post-processing alone.

Any suggestion / advice?

That really depends on how much post processing he does, his skill level, what software he is using and how much time he wants to spend on the task.

For Video I use LIghtworks Pro which has extensive color correcting capabilities.

For pictures, I shoot only RAW and use CaptureOne Pro which also has extensive color correcting capabilities.

I just recently got an GP8 that was an upgrade from my old Intova and I for the life of me cannot get my videos to turn out at all. I have dove in Lake Erie on two different occasions over the past month and while I'm diving I can clearly see the camera screen and everything I'm filming on the screen then when I come up and I download it to my computer my videos are nothing but black. I cannot figure out what I am doing wrong because I never had this issue with my old Intova before.

@al248005 what settings and microsd card are you using? if you are trying to shoot 4k, you need a fast microsd card. if you are using an older one, it likely just isn't fast enough. you can either buy a new faster sd card or consider dropping the settings down a bit.
