Not only are we ugly, we're corrupt too. And if we're Governor, we're most likely gay.

Guba:dlndavid....
ouch!
And all this time I thought folks were pretty friendly around my neck o' th' woods. Ah, well....beauty is in the eye of the beholder!
I do want to say one thing to all, though. By posting this with "Ugly American"...the question wasn't whether Americans were "uglier" than other nationalities. It was simply a question as to whether THAT person was going to be considered one. I have no doubt that all nationalities have those individuals that do not represent their countries and cultures well. (For instance, I've seen some real beautes that were Italian, Asian, South American, Mexican...you name it. We don't have a lock on class or classlessness.) Before this thread migrates into a cultural free-for-all, I want to thank everyone again for your broad experiences and input.
Much obliged, ya'll (hope that doesn't sound too ugly...I am Texan, y'know.)
catherine96821:I was behind some women from NYC in Bali and they rolled their eyes and said "well, this sure is not New York"....which is confusing cause I thought that was the whole point of travel.
Jon C:... most folks look "somewhat" less attractive while diving...
