:rofl3: :rofl3: Not only are we ugly, we're corrupt too. And if we're Governor, we're most likely gay.:rofl3: :rofl3:
Not that there is anything wrong with that :D

dlndavid....
ouch!

And all this time I thought folks were pretty friendly around my neck o' th' woods. Ah, well....beauty is in the eye of the beholder!

I do want to say one thing to all, though. By posting this with "Ugly American"...the question wasn't whether Americans were "uglier" than other nationalities. It was simply a question as to whether THAT person was going to be considered one. I have no doubt that all nationalities have those individuals that do not represent their countries and cultures well. (For instance, I've seen some real beautes that were Italian, Asian, South American, Mexican...you name it. We don't have a lock on class or classlessness.) Before this thread migrates into a cultural free-for-all, I want to thank everyone again for your broad experiences and input.
Much obliged, ya'll (hope that doesn't sound too ugly...I am Texan, y'know.)

I have always met nice people from Texas.

I was behind some women from NYC in Bali and they rolled their eyes and said "well, this sure is not New York"....which is confusing cause I thought that was the whole point of travel.

I like Bob's answer. If you think of anger=fear (usually) it makes people easier to deal with because you don't take their rudeness personally.

Is it true Texas is a country?

OMG, I have heard the same exact thing. And I agree. I travel to get the hell away from the Northeast.

people are so funny. everywhere.

Well, beating the second theme of this thread to death, most folks look "somewhat" less attractive while diving...except for Jaquelin Bissett and Daryll Hannah (I think she was using a ScubaPro mermaid wetsuit) , of course.;) I solo dive so no one will have to see me. The water pressure makes me look a lot less like Brad Pitt.

Jon

p.s. For all you gals that just clicked on to my personal profile...Air pressure makes me look a lot less like Brad Pitt, also.:D

Speak for yourself..... I am dead sexy diving or any other activity for that matter.....:D
