I recently had dinner with a Chinese friend of mine from Shanghai. Her business is to source materials and manufacturing plants, originally for American companies wishing to do business with China, but now on an multi-national scale. I was surprised when she said she worried about retiring back in her homeland... she said there were insufficient inspections and quality control on the food there. Gulp!
