I've recently taken up diving again, and thought I may as well include my other passion - photography.

I've bought a C-5050, housing and Ikelite DS50 Substrobe with the "cordless" slave TTL unit.

The question is, what's the best Camera flash setting to use, to ensure that the flash fires at the right time? Do I just use the "normal" flash (whish doesn't appear to fire a pre-flash), or should I be using one of the other flash modes?

Cheers

Paul

Your DS50 can only work in TTL or full-dump in manual. In M and S mode and the DS50 in TTL set your flash to int+ext - you will only be able to use 'slow'. In P and A use the normal flash mode (the thunderbolt sign). All TTL flash settings on the Olympus will fire a pre-flash.

OK, thanks for the info.
