As mentioned diving on the West Coast is pretty meh.
There are two shore diving sites on AMI itself, both are pretty meh. The first is Spanish Rocks and the second is Sugar Barge.
Florida Underwater Sports operations a charter that leaves out of the South Coquina Boat Ramp on the South end of the island.
If you want to Uber there used to be a charter out of Palmetto called Born Blue, no idea if they are still operating.
Beyond that you will need a car.
