animated gif as avatar?

Hi,

I'm a big fan of the old Nick series Action League Now and I'm trying to use an animated gif of my favorite character, Stinky Diver, as an avatar and it's not working out very well. When I uploaded it from my computer it was static, when I tried to link to it, I was told I used an invalid URL even though the URL was valid. Did the URL checking get tripped up because it's not www?

That 25 k limit is a bummer: I've been meaning to use this one as my avatar:

It would be especially poignant for threads debating snorkels, PADI, DIR and creationism.

Please let me know if he’s a bit too violent for use on this board: I think he would make a wonderful replacement to the 'Dead Horse' gif found in some discussions.

Use the upload (bottom) option instead of linking to it. I just changed my Avatar to yours temporarily and it works.
