I just recieved my first drysuit. It is an Andy's DS3 with suspenders. I stuck to the basics. Anyways, when I put it on and cinch up the suspenders to bring up the croth I am able to fold over 6-8" of the suit. It is a stock size XL, and I am 6' 220. Are drysuits supposed to fit this big or should I exchange it for an XL Short?

that's a lot of material. I would try the smaller one - too much excess suit will drag and you'll need more weight to compensate for the displacement.

Sometimes folks need to go one size up because of their shoe size (if you have bigger feet, the smaller suit might not fit your feet) - but in this case, it's better to just change the boots, even if you have to pay for it..
