How could any diver think that is a good idea?

It wouldn't be a bad idea if you controlled your buoyancy with your BC. I does take a couple of dives to figure out that you don't, so if they haven't quite gotten to that point yet...
 
i am intrigued by the science involved to make this thing work.

how much energy is required to drive the "fan" that compresses the air into the canister? Anyone know how to do the math to determine the size of batteries required?
