That's why the parents come with the kids when they go sell stuff. But having the parents do the work? IMHO it sounds like that's only teaching the kid to depend on the parents.

I can proudly say I have never allowed my kids to sell anything to our friends and neighbors.

Best thing I ever did, decided in pre-school that would be a "no -go"

Calculate the percentage the school gets of the total profit/ sales and don't be a sucker. Make them have a car wash or just buy your own kid's Tuba.

Gotta agree with you there Catherine, I HATE these fundraisers that give out cheapo gifts if the kids raise so much $$. I would rather give the school $10 than buy $13.50 for 6oz of chocolate in a decorative tin.
