Really? So everyone has the same sac rate? So I dive with a SAC rate of 8l/min yet a diver with a sac rate of 15l/min will have the same longer shallower dive? News to me. This is a shallow dive. 93 mins finished with 50 bar on an AL 80.

Other divers on the same dive were at 50 bar after an hour. How long an AL80 tank with 2200 liters of gas lasts depends on the volume being used by the diver would not not agree?

Are you being intentionally dense?
Same diver, same size cylinder, shallower avg depth = longer dive.
I thought i articulated myself clearly...

Man, your incessant SAC bragging in every thread sure does get tiresome after a while. We get it, I promise.

It’s only bragging if it’s true.

If it’s just floating and skip breathing (IOW, not navigating), then it’s just a delusional cry for attention.

“Look at me, I’m a beautiful butterfly!”

No, I’m not.

Jeez, look at my sac.

It gets bigger as I age.

One of the things many divers and guides comment on is they see me kit up early on the boat and get very relaxed before a dive. I get my mental state relaxed. Then when I do dives I can just slow my breathing. This really helps on deep dives where I do not exert myself and am very relaxed. Or even on shallow dives can do bottom times others cannot due to gas consumption.

Do I have some special tolerance to CO2? I don't think so but I go diving for the relaxation for the crazy balance of my mind.
Hello Blackcrusader
The diagram is not nearly as good as the two videos you once linked. One was called something like 'Fat Man's Diving' and shows a diver breathing the way it ideally should be. I can’t find it anymore.

Maybe you also have tips on how to become such a relaxed diver?
For me, it was freediving.
And when Cousteau wrote, "We conducted dive tests at 20 meters for two minutes with the help of several weights on our belts," then that was something I had to be able to do before I dived to the same depths with scuba as he and his divers did.
When divers asked me: What do you think, how deep can you dive with scuba (air)? I usually answered: Three times your depth as a freediver.
Then they did the math and the next question was usually : How deep can you freedive ?
My answer was 30m and the next question was : How is it at 90m ?
I replied: You have about 10% of your physical and mental abilities left.
If that's enough in this situation it's funny, if not you'll drown.

No one who asked these question has dived deep as far as I know . Exaggerating dangers so much that you become untrustworthy is not effective . I dived with divers who did not ask such questions or I dived solo.

The only thing that’s asinine is you thinking that someone who is already making dives to 60m without helium is going to start using it. You should cut back on the helium it’s starting to affect your thinking on the surface.
Reason I avoid you is you're a blowhard. Keep taking out your insecurities by always trying to be the tough guy on the threads. Its super impressive

Just stop this asinine, immature, childish shiiit. Enough already.
He's been doing it for years. Just under a different screen name years ago. Its pointless. He's a know it all who chooses to not understand that times change. Plus his balls are bigger than anyone else's. He always derails threads with childish comments. I don't care that he's an internet tough guy. I only care that he likes to push unsafe ideas here for new tech divers to read because he chooses to still dive like its the 80s

Here is one of me taken by a buddy. I was last in a group at deeper than 30m. Just a chill slow dive

Yeah the Fat Man Diving of me was taken by a DM I have done a few hundred dives with in Moalboal.

He wanted to show the divers behind their bubble trails compared to mine. I don't have experience free diving and I don't take meditation classes. I find diving just relaxes me. My mind goes blank and I don't really think. It's like my brain takes a rest and so does my body. I grew up playing wind instruments Trombone and Euphonium and you had to learn to hold long notes so breathing and doing long slow exhales to play was required. Just took lots of practice, some notes you force the air some notes you use as little air as possible. I don't know if that is why. I breathe the same at home when resting as well.

This is the small wreck I went to on that 93 minute dive with the DM there.
this DM JunJun and I have done a lot of dives together. He is paired with me as the dive shop does not have time limits on dive time. Also it was his birthday so I said lets go on a long slow dive and have fun and fun we had. One of the best dives I have done.

In the videos you can hear my breathing. Last video was a Jack Fish bait ball around 30m depth at Balicasag Island near bohol. You can see same DM with his fins that have no heels on them.
