When cleaning my manifolds and valves i was always trying to put just enough grease for the o rings and plastic washers to be "wet". All the valves that i had so far were thermos and the seems to come from the factory this way as well.

Yesterday i was disassembling my halcyon manifold which i have acquired a year ago and that was its first service. It was greased inside like there is no tomorrow. All the o-rings, plastic washers, threads, pin and the seat thread were literally covered in half a mil of chrystolube :)

So I was wondering was it just me and the service guy who was giving me tips on how to lubricate the valves completely wrong or the guys at the factory were so generous :)

So how much grease do you guys put ?

IMO the factory was a tad generous.
