I think he meant pinching an o-ring. Yes indeed you can (and should) check to make sure that the o-ring is in the right place but you know sometimes we forget. The inon o-rings are pretty unusual in that they have some type of lubrication built into the compound, I have had them get pinched but never has one actually broken
