Another vote for trying out the OMS Slipstreams. They are a little bigger than the XL Jets, but not as wide as the turtles. Pretty inexpensive as well. The stiff paddle fins work the best for fine control. Split fins are for people more interested in zooming around the reed. Jets et al are better for fine control and deliberate movement through all types of close/fragile/silty places, and work just as well in a wide open environment as long as speed isn't your primary goal.

I love my rockets, they replaced my out grown jets. I feel they are both well built and should last at least my lifetime. Forcefins? Price!! I cant afford those. So probably will never see whats the hype.
