I'd like to introduce myself, I'm Steve Frisbie, board member and owner of a dive charter company in Kona called Wanna Dive.
We run a 6 pack boat out of Honokohau Harbor just north of Kailua. We offer 2 tank day charters, night manta dives and the occasional 3 tank trip. We also offer OW and AOW dive instruction and can accept PADI and SDI referrals.
We run a casual trip. We meet at the harbor and hit the water about a half hour later for roughly 4 hours out on the water. Dives are generous computer driven profiles, and we send divers up as they reach 500psi. We generally don't limit dive times - unless you can outbreath the DM, profiles require it, or we're doing a one way dive on a choppy day and plan on cutting the dive at 60-65 minutes so the Captain knows when to expect us. We hit a different location for each dive, the goal is to never repeat sites on certified divers who sign up to dive with us on their trips unless they specifically want to return to a particular spot. There is roughly an hour break between dives to offgas and make it to the next site. Sandwiches from a local deli, snacks and beverages are offered.
We will go with just two divers, have been known to go with only one during the slow season so the crew keeps busy, and never carry more than 6 passengers. Our goal is to give you personalized attention and show you some great diving.
