Hi, all -

Some of you know that my husband and I committed last year to a move to San Diego - well, I have been out here for a month, and the hubby will follow in late March. Just wanted to say thanks to all of you who have been diving with us over the past few years. Special thanks and farewells to Luis, Paul and Genevieve, and Fran and his crew at the Daybreaker Please look me up over on the SoCal board if you're ever in the area for a get-together - the diving here is great and sooo warm!! The surf entries and surface swims take a bit of getting used to, but I am getting plenty of practice - my gear hasn't even been dry since my second week here.

Again - thanks, and give us a shout if you guys ever come out this way -

Allison

I enjoyed chatting about UW photography with you and your husband when I met you two at the dock by the Daybreaker last spring.

Good luck in CA!

Good luck to to you guys! It was great meeting you. Show those left coast people how to dive.

Will miss you two on annual Pinthis dive w/ Fran. i'm sure to look you up when go to San Diego on business to combine business w/ diving. I was just in Newport for bus. trip. I didn't have time that trip to do diving but man did diving look great!. I was crawling out of my skin as driving down PCH checking out rocky shore line. Looks like some great boat diving. I know San Diego is further south but it can't be that different. What will you do with your dry suits!?

Take care!

Snicker....I still miss my mini-Magnum...the tiny little Barbie mask I have now is still too frigging big. Of course, I could lose THAT during a rough surf entry.

Shoot me a PM if you guys are ever out here!! Be ready for a LOOONNNGGG surface swim...but one that's rewarded with octopi hiding in rocks, large shrimp, nudibranchs, spiny lobster, sheephead, scorpionfish....aaaahhhh....

Oh, and Luis, I am still happily using my drysuit - it is just that 8-10 degrees difference right now that makes it nice. I have been able to do 70-100 minute dives on multiple occasions - you get cold, but not numb (it's always pleasant to feel your fingers at the end of a dive, no??), and I have eschewed my semi-dry mitts for my 5 mm gloves, huzzah!! Calvin may ditch his dryuit for the summer, though...

Headed out for my first boat dives this Saturday, sadly not the Yukon, but that will come soon enough...
