I plan on diving this preserve around late August. It is located on Lake Superior and I was wondering if anyone knows what the water temp is at about 40ft. The have a 145ft ship wreck at that depth.
I know the surface temp is about 55 degrees F but don't know what it is at depth.
Also is there any good web links to water temps for diving?

Thank you

Hello.

You may want to have this thread moved to the Great Lakes Wrecking Crew forum. I'm sure you'll get more information there.

It's been a few years since I dove any of the wrecks in the Alger preserve so I don't recall the temps. I just know if it's Lake Superior, it's COLD! The wrecks are very divable with a wetsuit.

Can't recall a site that has current water temps. If any would, perhaps a dive shop / charter opertor? Here's a website that has many links I find helpful... have a gander...
