While searching for a dive op for my cruise port stop, I came across Aldora Divers http://aldora.com

They offer 120cf tanks, and indicated average bottom time of 1 hr 10 min. That sounds really good. They also have a Villa Aldora with beach that my wife (or family and friend of divers) can use while I dive, and indicated the snorkeling in front is good.

I've used 100cf tanks before, and would request that as much as possible (I'm an air hog), but never 120cf. I'd think most divers would like that, for increased bottom time.

It's too bad they go out at 7:30am, too early for me in the cruise stop. They offer stand-by reservation, which I need to pay $100 deposit (refundable) and if they get min. 4 divers for the same later time, they'll go.

Has anyone had experience diving with Aldora?

Thanks a lot.

Aldora is a wonderful operation. I have been using them for many years. I enjoy the personal service and attention to detail they provide. There are never any surprises. Know almost all the DM and like them all. If you call the office or email Memo Mendoza I am sure they will work with you on dive times. I know they have begun to cater to the cruise ship patrons. There are several operators on the island using 120 cu/ft steel tanks. Unless we have done a deep dive.......120+, I have never remembered not having less than an hour dive. Have a great time.

I have been diving with Aldora for years now and stay at the Villa. Our last dive with them was in February and our next dive will be there June 14 for 8 days. They will also pick u up at the villa for your dives. I have never had a dive under an hour diving with them even for the deep dives.( ending it in a shallow area) The Villa is fantastic, we had done some night snorkeling out there in front of the villa. If you have any questions feel free to ask. Kathy in Texas
