Can I use the smart trak program instead of the data trak program?

Also I downloaded smart trak off the uwatec site but it keeps coming up each time I try and load it with the following fault "Demo.slg is corrupted, unknown" can anyone here offer any help.

My reason for giving the smart trak a go is that it offers richer features than the data trak version. The web site says that I can do it but I'm unable to find out how or where I'm stuffing it up.
Any help would be appreciated on this matter

The new Smart Trak Software is made for Smart PRO and Smart COM. Since it works with an Infrared connection the SmartTrak can not be used with older models of Uwatec dive computers.

I don't own this computer or know anything about it, I just spent 30 seconds browsing Uwater/Scubapros site.

And if you'd looked a little longer you may have seen that it's backward compatable! The problem is that as it's a new software upgrade I don't think they have includedan updated manual or "how-to" I thought that some tech or service minded person may have figured a way to do this :05:

Nowhere in the FAQ does it mention compatability. That sentence that it doesn't work with older computers should have been enough of an answer to your question. Just trying to help.

The new manual that I recieved from uwatec UK claims that it is!, I'm not after a " I say ....you say flame war" I'm quite simply after a solution to this problem that I'm having. As a general rule I'm fairly tech savvy, but this is just pissing me off and driving me up the wall.

I did last week, I think that it may have a bug or a few glitches in the program as a friend also has a similar problem{or so I found out this evening}

what platform did you install on?

From a recently downloaded copy, I've installed on win2kpro and xp pro

Make sure your memo mouse says "WINDOWS" on the body. There are olders ones that are for the DOS version of the program.

Take note, downloading your Aladin computer will materially shorten the battery life.
